Wow... This place has a little bit of everything in it

But not all of it was captured... so you can't see how many different things were in that place

Hey Joe, could you show me a few screenshots of this area? Just so me and Esp can confirm we want this volcano? ;)

I don't think a price has been stated, but I know the price goes up each time. You're going to need a bunch of money.

Actually it was stated here:
http://www.noobscraft.com/guides/v6-information-in-a-nutshell/msg70263/#msg70263

Since that info is months old, things could have changed.

On a side note, the info topics are NOT sticky-ed and their titles aren't exactly self-explanatory so they're hard to find ._.

At which coordinates will we spawn in the wilderness? 0,65,0?

Close enough, it'll be more central to the large open plains we mapped for the spawn/chunky tutorial zone.

Neb, I could make a power core in the crevaces of that volcano, and we could eventually work on why the island is so desolate by it being a side effect of the lab. :D

Also thanks for the images, Joe!

Ohh! That looks like a nice place! Be careful when you dig below your house though, there a lot of caves there!

Esp already told you his thoughts a few posts earlier, why does he answer your question before you asked it? Have you guys messed with a timeexperiment again? You always mess up both of your timelines with that!
No more timeexperiments for you, try something usefull for a change. Like geothermic magma-energycores or some highly flammable and combustible plasmathingies - just don't TRY TO MIX BOTH.

I wonder how much they listened this time.

Just gonna grab myself a nice hunk of ocean to make my grindhouse. If I want a pretty landscape, I'll build one.

Maybe it's because i can't view the map in 3D yet, but all four of my favorite 1.7 biomes don't seem to be present.  Roofed Forest (Black Forest), Mesa (Bryce), Ice Plains Spikes, and Flower Forest.  I might be missing something though.  Also, would it be possible to add a smaller alternate wilderness map that has been generated by a random minecraft seed?

Like the mining world you mean? (Minus the plots)

I guess, I haven't seen what the mining world looks like.  But yea, without the plots.  Like it was in V5, but with a 1.7 seed.

My favorite biome, by far, is roofed forest (black forest).  I hope it is part of the map and I just couldn't find it.

My first impression with the Town World was "this is clearly not the default terrain generation".
Seems to me all the area around spawn is carefully manifactured, with clearly visible circles of trees/rough terrain around flattened land.

I'd rather have a natural looking land that I could _choose_ to flatten to build a town and a wilderness world that is truly wild.

Feels like for some reasons the admins thought that no one wanted to build a mountain village, a lake district or anything different from a featureless place with houses.
Flattening the terrain takes hours, agreed, but crafting mountains, forests and lakes takes even more...

Hmm, odd..

Yes, there is a lot of flatland, but that doesn't mean you have to use it. The purpose of the flat land is that it flows into beautiful places like the above, its is up to the town to use that as their backdrop or to build on the more rough terrain. There is a perfect blend of both rough and flat terrain. Our intentions weren't to see boring towns, we put our very best into the creation of the world with intentions of all town makers.

The area around spawn was cut out, because it needed to be quite a large area for the spawn to be implanted in + area for more expansion in the future. The whole circle around spawn and beyond will be out-of-bounds for all towns, it is 'spawn' land.

Thanks for your kind words though, we do appreciate them.

I wouldn't say anything else until you've had a good look around, because the world is not one bit 'flat' and 'dull' at all.

All of these pictures were taken from the town world.
