Maybe a command to hide your self from statistics?

It's not really a matter of what is not shown, but of what is shown.

I.E.:
I could brag about my zero deaths, claiming to have killed over 9000 monster while in truth I was fishing for the whole time.

On the other hand, a guy could have died 30 times in PVP while still having won 100 encounters.
He would still have a good 3to1 win ratio but no one can know.

A better stat to track would be the player kill count, but that is stricty PVP and not generic "survival".

Even if MC could keep track of generic entities killed (it can't afaik, at least not without plugins that I don't know of) it wouldn't make sense because a player could just farm monster safely and, again, no know would know.

Yeah, I like that better. I would like it if there was a Kill VS Death ratio for PVP events such as Capture the Flag. Then people couldn't falsely brag about how good they are at PVP.

I don't think that this would be a good idea, because like the above people stated, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a farmer and a fighter, and a lot of times I will go into an arena with someone and we kill each other over and over again to get our unarmed, swords, axes, and bow skills up.

The Admins aren't ever going to be slaves! They are probably trolling the local villagers since they're masters of troll :P

However, why would the admins be going on the server if 1.7 will break the world if they go into Noobstown in 1.6.4?

to try and iron out some glitches? idk realy. maybe they are building their v6 houses!

:O You're right! Maybe they're building their mansions! Or maybe they're building traps at spawn when we first log in? :P (Note the sarcasm)

The charcoal/coal is for smelting the glass required to make the walls and ceiling of the arena

Noobstown General / Re: V6 Minecraft School.
« on: 21 Nov 2013, 21:24:10 »
Have you ever wanted to learn how to use redstone? How about how to make your builds look better? Or do you just want to learn how Minecraft works and what it's really like behind the pixels? Well then my V6 Minecraft School is for you! On a certain day not yet decided I will have classes to teach everyone who wants to learn more about Minecraft Vanilla or even how to use some of the plugins on the server. Most classes will be free (like plugin classes, or what Minecraft is like on the inside) But some classes will cost a some Noobz due to the fact I will have to pay for materials or there really hard to teach/time consuming. So if you want to learn about Minecraft a bit more, come on down!

Hey, this sounds cool, could you open it in Utopia? I'll give you a plot for it right near the town spawn at only 500 Noobz (cheap, considering that near the town spawn, the plots will cost anywhere from 2500 Nbz to 10000 Nbz). You'll get a lot of players to see your school there. I'll also put no tax for you. Also, I would like to be able to teach some classes about redstone if you'll let me.

TOOOOWWWWNYYYY GAMES! cant wait. i might FINALLY be able to start playing MC again this weekend. but frankly i just want v6. with the towny games. swords and possibly taming will no longer be nearly dead skills. also. hunger games rules. i read all three as soon as they came out on their respective dates(the one time the library is totally epic) and they was awesome. if i can be able to enter these games. i will destroy you all!!! lol jk jk jk jk jk

You realize, I hope, that we still have to build the arenas? And guys I looked at a desert and then checked how big a towny games arena is, and it looks like a small desert would have the amount of sand we'd need for a bit more than one arena, so we shouldn't have a problem with that since the size of Noobscraft would make deserts common (and of course the Mining world gets recreated every month, so infinite sand!) A problem we would have is getting coal... but that's why Mojang made charcoal in Minecraft! Who's ready for a big project once our towns are up and running? I wanted to have them up and ready by January 1st, but since Bukkit hasn't come out with a stable build, I'm beginning to doubt that my town will even be open to the public by January 1st. But I'll continue to hope for the best and work as hard as I can on the town and arenas without it interfering with real life and school.

Also, when Foob said that chunk prices increase, he meant for the Chunky system in the Wilderness world only.
If that is true, I've about had enough.

Max

About had enough of what? (Actually PM me on that if you want, this isn't the topic to discuss Chunky)

Harry,

I'm sure you realize that 8 by 8 chunks for an arena is 64 chunks.  Each town having 3 arena's will make it almost 200 chunks not considering anything else in these towns.  Since you have to buy each chunk and they get progressively higher in cost, this could be extremely expensive.  Just sayin, I hope you've considered the cost of such a venture.

Max

I do realize that the size is 64 chunks, and I know its expensive, so IF anyone needs the funding, I would be glad to help (no matter what nation they are in, whether the town be Cloudsdale, Imperium, Bushido/Shinto, Gotham, etc.). Also, when Foob said that chunk prices increase, he meant for the Chunky system in the Wilderness world only. Towny is a completely different system and therefore runs different price (staff member please correct me if I am incorrect on that). It's not the chunk prices that anyone should be worrying about. If anything, I would be concerned on the fact that in order to build just the outside of the arena (but hopefully not much will have to be changed to the land inside the arena) you will need a staggering 700 stacks (or 44,800 blocks) of glass to build the arena at 64 chunks and 23 blocks high (not including where walls meet another wall or the ceiling)... I now realize that we are most likely going to need some help with building and getting resources directly from the admins... this could really inflate our new economy... maybe the arenas need to be smaller or having only 1 arena? Because 3 arenas would be 2100 stacks of glass, or 134,400 blocks of glass... *head explodes*

EDIT: There is a possibility I messed up big time on the math, so don't panic guys!

Towns & Nations / Re: Noobscraft Towny Games
« on: 20 Nov 2013, 20:51:21 »
Well, now i absolutely have to join a town in a big nation.
Why is it required that to compete, a town must be in a nation with three cities? Why can't independent cities and towns compete?

The reason I say no independent towns is because if you had an independent town, once the victors of the town round were picked, they would be able to skip the nation round (since they aren't in a nation) and go straight to the final round, which wouldn't be fair for the other towns who had to fight the nation round as well. If an independent town wishes to join, they could always fight in a nation round with a nation, but have no afiliation with them.

is it volunteer for the town rounds ? or will u do like actual hg and pick people...

It depends on this factor:

How many people want to fight in the Nation round?

If 2 or less per town, then they are automatically qualified, but it would be unfortunate because the Town Round brings out the best of the town fighters and shows who can use the land to their advantage the best.

yea but the point is will it be like an actual hg where you pick two people and then people can take their place
or do u just volunteer and choose who you think is best... cause that's unfair for the people who want to try but aren't good
All people who wish to join will have to prove themselves worthy in the town round if they wish to compete in later rounds. Every time the two people win the town round, they will be ineligible to fight in the next Towny Games (2 weeks later), so other people can have chances. I want to be able to include everyone who wants to join.

Terraforming is a good idea, but there are many other factors you would have to deal with. Temperature fluctuations, soil fertility, gravitational fields, etc. Then there is the terrain you would have to deal with. I think humanity's best bet would be to research those and build new tech.

They will meet aliens and they will provide the technology. (I'm a alien, I'm on mars atm :B )
wou

I hope they will meet aliens anyway, It would be very interesting to see what they look like, what technology do they have. :D

Yeah, but what if they're hostile aliens with technology that greatly exceeds ours? Humans will be X/ (if you know what I mean)
